I know it has been a long time since we have last posted in our blog. As the world turns, our lives get busier and the choices we make have lasting impressions. Our group is still determined to eventually finish our short film, but this will be a long term project.

"Capti- what?"

This is what most people say when they first read our group name. We now realize that Captivasian Studios has a number of seemingly correct pronunciations. After much internal discussion, we have decided to test our readers to see if you know the correct pronunciation.

Scheduled First Day of Filming

The long awaited day has almost arrived. We have scheduled our first day of filming for tomorrow. Although we had stumbled across many problems with finding an appropriate location, we will push on to ensure that we finish the short film as soon as possible. Our group met earlier last week to rehearse the script for the first scene. This will hopefully help the filming tomorrow go more smoothly. Fortunately, it looks like the weather tomorrow will be very sunny, so that's one less element we will need to worry about. I can't wait until we start filming, it's going to be so fun!

New Captivasian Studios Logo

Fresh off the press, the new Captivasian Studios logo. After much debate, our Marketing Coordinator made some executive decisions and decided on the logo you see now on the top of the page. Let us know if you like the logo or not by leaving a comment for us.

To come in the near future, Captivasian's logo icon. Our design team is in the process of creating a captivating icon. Deciding on a icon will probably be as challenging as deciding on a logo. Wish us luck!

Captivasian Production Update

Over the BC Day long weekend, our team worked hard to keep the film production moving. We are in the process of designing a logo for Captivasian Studios. We currently have 5 different variations that we are considering, but chances are, more variations will be created in the near future. Once we have narrowed down our choices to three different designs, we might post them on our blog for you to comment on them.

Apart from our logo, the script for our short film is being written. I had recently read the draft of the first scene and let me tell you, it will be worth the wait. As time progresses, we will release more information about the story, characters and estimated film release date.

Stoked!

Our second meeting was super productive and I'm totally stoked about this upcoming film that we've come up with. Rather than starting with something simple, we dived right into the deep end of the pool. The rundown of the film has been decided and we're now working on the script and storyboard.

To our parents, our years of watching television and movies have finally paid off!

Captivasian Studios Launched

Today marks the birth of Captivasian Studios. We are 6 friends from 3 families and since childhood we having been dreaming of the wildest adventures. Our latest imaginations have lead to what you see here today.

After days of considering what we should be called, we finally decided on Captivasian Studios. This name is not just any name, but a representation of the work we do and the people we are.

We are currently working on our first short film production. The storyline is being written, the characters are being developed and our dreams are being fulfilled.
